Mai Chau is a green valley about 3.5 hours southwest of Hanoi. Moc Chau, the tea plateau, is another hour further. Together they make a relaxed first loop away from the city.

Make it a route, not a return trip
The smart way to see this area is a one-way route: Hanoi to Mai Chau, a day of cycling between the rice fields, then onwards to Moc Chau or Pu Luong instead of driving back. On the way to Moc Chau you can stop at the Bo Am hot springs. We price each leg separately, see the price list.
